N is for Nepalese

For our N meal, we visited a Nepalese restaurant in Euston:

Their website front page states "Exotic Location". Strange. I wouldn't call round the corner from Euston Station particularly "Exotic".

Drinks beforehand in the Euston Tap (http://www.eustontap.com/) real ale pub, located in the old gatehouse tower in front of the station. Never been here before, and was a pleasant, interesting place to drink, where you order your beer by its number, as they have so many beers on tap. A tiny place, so better to visit in the summertime when you can stand outside and watch the hustle and bustle of the station. The downside of this is that the front of Euston station is a bus station, and the pub is right on the entrance to this, so mixed with the real ale taste you get a copious amount of bus fumes thrown in. Just across the road in the other gatehouse is the Cider Tap if you prefer a sweeter drink.

The restaurant offered fairly standard Nepalese fare, though I was a little disappointed that most dishes were standard indian, and there seemed few specific and unique Nepalese items. We may be a little spoilt, as we have a very nice Nepalese restaurant near to where we live (Gurkha Kitchen), which does offer quite a few unique dishes. However, as vegetarians, we are always a bit limited in which dishes we can eat, and there may have been more unique dishes that were meat based (we tend to ignore the non veggie options on the menu!).

However, the restaurant was busy, the ambiance good, the service efficient and the food tasty. Not fantastic, but a good meal.
